The windows in the chapel were installed in 1953 when the chapel was expanded and they differ significantly from the windows in the nave. While retaining many of the decorative and design elements the scenes are no longer bounded by upper and lower mandorlas, allowing for the figures in each window to be much larger.
The dominant theme of the group of three windows behind the altar is the Transfiguration of Christ. The middle section of the central panel shows the transfigured Christ in radiant garments. Christ is flanked by Moses, holding a tablet and representing the law, on the left panel and by the prophet Elijah, holding a scroll and representing the prophets, on the right panel. The apostles Peter, James, and John are depicted at the bottom of the three panels, kneeling in awe. Angels bearing palms of victory are shown at the top of the two side panels. The upper part of the central panel shows the risen Christ bearing the cruciform banner of victory.
The center panel is a memorial to Walter J. Burns and Mary Burns. The left panel is a memorial to Frances Therkelsen Van Duzer and the right panel is a memorial to her husband, Henry Brooks Van Duzer.
