The fourth window on the south side depicts the Fifth Beatitude, “Blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy.” In the left medallion the Prodigal Son receives a blessing from his father after returning home. In the right medallion, the Good Samaritan aids the unfortunate man who had fallen among thieves and whose plight had been ignored by the priest and the Levite. Kneeling angels below bear broken swords, a symbol of mercy.
The window is a memorial to David Robertson and was dedicated on June 1, 1947.
