18 •  Sacrament of Holy Communion

The south window in the narthex is devoted to the Sacrament of Holy Communion. The window has a blue border of clouds and stars and depicts an angel holding a chalice and host surrounded by vines and grape bunches. A sheaf of wheat is shown at the top. 

The window is a memorial to Beatrice Lilly Grout and was installed in 1951.
