The Bishop Scott window in the east wall of the nave is a memorial to The Rt. Rev. Thomas Fielding Scott, the first Missionary Bishop of the Oregon and Washington Territories. The window was originally made for our second church at SW Sixth and Oak Streets by Whitefriars Glass in London in 1873. The window was a gift from the Trinity Women’s Guild and was located above the altar in the east wall of the chancel. The window was salvaged after a fire badly damaged the second church in 1902 and was reinstalled in our current church in 1905. The Bishop Scott window has now been overlooking the Faithful of Trinity for over 150 years.
In the center of the window, St. Peter is shown holding the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. To the left of St. Peter is the inscription “Follow thou me and I will make you fishers of men.” On his right is the inscription “Feed my sheep.”
