19 • The Lamentation of Christ Icon

The Lamentation of Christ Icon was written by the Trinity Iconography Institute in 2001. The first of several icons given to the Cathedral by the Trinity Iconography Institute commemorates the events that took place on September 11, 2001. The icon is based on an authorized prototype written by Emmanuel Lambardos, the Younger in Crete, around 1640 CE.
