The pair of brass candlesticks on either side of the Holy Trinity icon are a memorial to Elizabeth Chapman Holbrook. Elizabeth was just nine years old when she died in 1932. The story associated with the candlesticks tells that after Elizabeth's death, her mother Elsa Holbrook, by then a widow, took the money from her daughter's bank and bought the material for the candlesticks, made them herself, and presented them to Trinity in 1937.
