The small icon on the right wall of the chancel depicts Christ in Glory. The prototype of the icon is based on a 14th century Russian icon that was, in turn, likely based on similar icons that first appeared sometime after the 4th century C.E.
The icon was commissioned by Dr. John Strege, long-time organist at Trinity, and was written by members of the Trinity Iconography Institute in 1985.
The icon is written on the door of our aumbrie, the small cabinet where the reserve sacrament is stored between Eucharistic services.
