With a 4.2 liter, inline six-cylinder gas engine rated at 245 horsepower under the bonnet, the 1969 XKE is a British powerhouse. The E type Jaguar employed a novel design principle with a front subframe carrying the engine, front suspension, and front body work bolted directly to the body tub.
With a top speed of 150 miles per hour and sub seven second acceleration, the XKE broke numerous speed records. Independent front and rear suspensions, rack and pinion steering, unitary construction and disc brakes allow for optimal handling on and off the track. XKEs were manufactured from 1961 to 1974.
