The 1915 Stanley Mountain Wagon is a twelve-passenger vehicle which could be converted to a pick-up truck by removing the seats and placing boards on the side brackets. It was created to transport Stanley Hotel visitors from the train station to their destination in Estes Park, Colorado.
The thirty-horsepower, two-cylinder typical Stanley steam car engine is the largest and most powerful of the available Stanley engine and boiler combinations. The upgraded steel frame was an improvement in 1915. All electric lighting and horn, with charging from a generator geared to the rear axle constituted upgrades for this year. In addition, the shape of the hood was slightly different and the firewall four inches higher than with previous models.
