A Copse Of Pines

When my wife Kelly passed I took many solitary hikes to this place and sketched or painted nearly thirty works inspired by these trees. A majestic copse of white pines is anchored on the hillside on these state game lands near Hawk Mountain. I love to walk among the trees on windy days and listen to the sounds created by the pine needles. It’s like some foreign language that I seem to understand.
