Vanilla Icing

Vanilla Icing is a new work I painted with Daler-Rowney ink and white house paint. I spotted these old stumps during one of my hikes around Kempton early winter of 2025. I emphasized the dreary colors of the season and used black ink for the stark contrast of the crows. The snow on the crest of the stumps brought to mind icing on cupcakes, hence the title Vanilla Icing.
