Approaching Storm

Approaching Storm is a layout dominated by a large rotund fieldstone. I sketched this on location on a chilly Sunday afternoon. The storm announced its approach by pelting the stone with rain drops. I used glossy varnish on the final oil painting to emphasize the water dripping over the rounded edge of the stone.
