My career as an artist really began in the Stony Run Valley of northern Berks County. One inevitably found me playing outside and observing nature. I spent countless hours among the woodlots, farm fields, and stream banks near my home. My vivid childhood imagination took me back and forth between the worlds of Daniel Boone and Tarzan. I really began to draw the things that inspired me. Somehow those things still excite me as I draw and paint them 60 years on.
