At Kerschners

The receding verticals and diagonals feature afternoon light striking the farmhouse and the distant grandparents' house on the Kerschner farm near Krumsville. The beautiful Pennsylvania German craftsmanship is evident on the mortared fieldstone and clapboard siding on the structures. This original was my very first go at painting with egg tempera.
