Dietrich's Barrels

The interior of the Dietrich Grist Mill in Stony Run Valley has remained mostly unchanged for more than two hundred fifty years. A bright afternoon shaft of light strikes some of the original oak barrels on the foundation floor of the mill. A mill race diverted part of the Stony Run Creek to power this beautiful 18th century structure. Earthy browns and greys dominate this composition.
