Man's Best Friend: Vance Razo

Dogs were once wild animals. Humans domesticated them for a variety of purposes. Today, they serve many important roles, such as killing predators, helping police attack and capture criminals, herding sheep, helping people who just need support mentally, being active service dogs for te disabled, and just as fun, loyal companions. This evolution connects with science in many ways. For exampe, dogs have an extraordinary sense of smell, whic is why they're so effective in roles like search-and-rescue or detectnig substances for law enforcement. Understanding the biological and sensory traits has helped humans train and work alongside dogs more effectively. We look at the cycles of how people use animals. This art piece was a primary example on how I see dogs.
