Mythology: Mari Antonetty

Mythology is not recognized enough. Learning about mythology can help us understand different cultures, appreciate human creativity, and even glean wisdom about life through the lessons and symbolism embedded in these stories. Mythology was created to explain the natural world before the scientific method. For example, the Horaes, the goddesses of seasons, were used to explain the natural cycles of the world. The piece before you is a model of Medusa. Medusa is not a goddess in mythology, but she symbolizes nature and the wild. In Medusa, we can see beauty in imperfection and in natural cycles.
