Shimmering, Shimmering Still, Glow, and Breaking Through

Shimmering, Shimmering Still, Glow, and Breaking Through are paintings that initially featured simply repeated horizontal stripes of color against a white background, and were all reworked after the 1977 Arvada exhibit. Additional colors as well as some shapes between the stripes were added over a period of two years. Rigsby frequently revisited earlier works, some within a year or two, and some, like Color which is also in this exhibit, over a period of decades.
