Conversation Corner Immersive Installation

Hello, this is Deborah Jang. Thank you for visiting my show, SUM OF THE PARTS. Welcome to the Conversation Corner of the gallery. This is an immersive living room scene that includes three of my assemblage sculptures, all made from repurposed objects. THE SHAPE OF LIGHT is a 9-foot tower composed of lampshades, mostly found in thrift stores and yard sales, and also incorporating LED "mood" lighting. FISH STORY is a wall-sculpture from my over-the-sofa series. It is built from brooms and wood salvage. SIT.STAY.BREATHE is a recent addition to my chair sculpture collection. You are welcome to sit -- plant yourself and become part of the sculpture.
