At High Noon Without Shadows

(The First Blessing)

When God created Adam and Eve, He gave them the three blessings: (Gen 1:28) “Be fruitful, multiply and fill the earth, and have dominion over every living thing.”

The first blessing “be fruitful” means that human beings should grow and perfect their characters with God as their center. When people realize God’s first blessing, they become God’s beloved who inspire Him with joy.

Human beings were originally created to live with God’s true love within their minds and bodies, and to resonate with His love directly. The mind was to resonate with God centered on true love, and the body was to resonate with the mind. When our mind and body are united based on true love, the ideals of true freedom and peace begin.

High Noon Settlement is possible when there is no shadow. When the mind and body become one, the shadow disappears. A shadow can be cast in any of the four directions. However, at high noon, when you stand at the very center (directly below the sun), there is no shadow. Then it is certain that your mind and body will resonate and perfect a harmonious unity.

You need to cultivate the field of your mind in line with the gate of your mind. In order to cultivate this field of your mind and pioneer its direction, you must discover God, the subject. If you illuminate your mind from within, you can come to know its direction clearly. Then you will follow it naturally.

When a ballerina stands on her toes and holds her head toward the heavens, this stance strikes me as a perfect pose for the way we should hold God in awe.

The movements of the ballerinas on stage are fruits of a creative process that requires total investment. To pour out everything we have, to offer ourselves up completely for the sake of one moment in time, this is how greatness is achieved and how humankind comes to resemble God.                                                        - SMM

About the painting: In this scene, the ballerina stands on her toes and reaches out to the heavens. She stands in the light and doesn’t cast a shadow. In her right hand (representing the mind), she holds a shawl containing elements necessary to cultivate one’s mind.  In her left hand (representing the body), she holds the other side of the shawl, containing images of humankind’s accomplishments; results of a creative mind.

In the background are trees with deep roots (an image for human maturity and individual perfection), that should be deeply rooted in God’s love.
