2022 social justice station 2

[Black Lives Matter art, Pride flag] Station 2: Jesus takes up his Cross

Epworth is a Reconciling congregation meaning that we are actively advocating for the rights and dignity of LGBTQ persons in church and society. And we are a church pursuing racial justice and seeking always to grow and deepen in anti-racist practices. Two of the ways we express our commitments are by flying the Pride flag and by the tributes on our walls and windows to Black heroes and Black persons who have been killed by police. In these and other ways, Epworth seeks to walk with Jesus, carrying the cross of injustice with him, while working to transform injustice to justice and justice to peace.
