Polish Club
Known as the Polski Dom Handlowy—meaning the Polish Trading House—this building quickly became known around town as the Polish Club. It was created as a gathering place for Rossford’s Polish community—a place where people could meet, shop, and celebrate together.
If you picture it back in its early days, the lower right side of the building served as the Club’s headquarters, while the lower left had a dry goods store. Upstairs, though—that’s where all the celebrations took place. The second floor featured a large dance hall with soaring 14-foot tin ceilings, and over the years, it hosted hundreds of Polish wedding celebrations, filled with music, laughter, and tradition.
In the early 2000s, the building found new life, renovated into five apartments. But even today, it still carries the echoes of the vibrant community that once gathered here.
