Rossford Public Library
The Rossford Public Library has been around since 1936, but its original location was in a one-room store building on Superior Street. The current library was built in 1950 with funds donated by Libbey Owens Ford Company and community fundraisers. In the mid-2000s the library went through a major expansion. Inside, you’ll find a large mural featuring scenes from Rossford’s history, including photos of former businesses, and people along with the city’s founder, Edward Ford and his wife, Caroline Ross.
You’ll also find unique displays of historical items like the size 37 shoe worn by Robert Wadlow, who claimed the title of the World’s tallest man at 8 feet, 11 inches. He lived on Selkirk Street in Ross Township and would shop in downtown Rossford.
