This is where it all started. And if things look a little empty... there’s a reason. The Dragans escaped. 
 
For more than 20 years, Dolores Dragan transformed this home into Lambertville’s legendary Halloween House, filling the porch and yard with the strange, whimsical creatures she created by hand. Thousands came to see them, but Dolores always said she was really making something else: memories. She wanted children to remember the magic even when they were 70 years old. 
 
Eventually, though, the Dragans grew restless. One by one, they slipped away from their North Union Street home and scattered throughout Lambertville. Now they’re hiding in windows, shops, restaurants, and unexpected corners all over town. 
 
Back at the Halloween House, a few Dragans who missed the great escape have gathered for a funeral. Whose funeral? That may be one Halloween mystery best left unsolved.
