Howling Basset Books

They came into Howling Basset Books looking for something good to read.

One chose a mystery. One found a fantasy. And the third disappeared into a particularly long novel.

They settled in and started reading.
And reading.
And reading...

Apparently, no one noticed when the store closed for the day. By the time somebody found them, well... it had been a while.

Luckily, they couldn't have picked a better place to get lost. Howling Basset Books arrived in Lambertville in 2025, bringing shelves filled with everything from literary fiction, mysteries and romance to memoirs, cookbooks and children’s books. It’s also a gathering place for author readings, book clubs, workshops and a community that believes everyone deserves to find a story in which they belong.

So come in, say hello to Fern, the basset-in-residence, and choose your book carefully. Some stories are very hard to put down.
