The Speckled Egg

She heard The Speckled Egg was one of the best restaurants in the country. Her eyes have looked like that ever since. 
 
She came for breakfast and discovered house-cured meats, scratch-baked breads, seasonal ingredients, local coffee, and sweet treats worth saving room for. Then she learned they serve lunch and dinner too. Apparently, leaving was no longer an option. Now she sits patiently in the window, hands folded, enormous eyes fixed on the dining room, waiting to see what the chef is making next. 
 
Judging by those eyes, whatever Chef Megan is making looks VERY good. She hasn’t blinked in hours.
