1880 Home

Home at 316 W. Prospect Avenue.

This home built in 1880 is a front gable example of Greek Revival.  The Greek Revival attributes include the low pitched roof; "broken cornice" pediment design of the gable end; the small entry porch with Doric columns supporting the arch; and the dominant front gable design with low wings.  Other Greek Revival elements incorporated include the narrow windows and their placement, sidelights on the front door, and narrow overhang eaves.

This home is located in the West Prospect Avenue Historic District which is listed in the State and National Register of Historic Places.
