Idaho artist Jacob Novinger, constructed “Macaw” using the found object technique, meaning the majority of the materials are reclaimed. “Macaw” was created using a variety of materalsl such as a car hood, the lid of a washing machine and yellow oil barrels. He feels that using found objects give his pieces a colorful visual twist.
Jacob discovered metal in 2002 while working at an ornamental blacksmith shop, thus sparking his passion for metal sculpture. His inspirations come from life’s challenges, each piece inspires the next. Jacob believes that art is an expression of the mind and the ultimate expression of freedom. Macaw is available for purchase for $12,000.
