This car is the FCP Euro MINI Cupper track car. The idea for this car was to build a car that embraces the idea of the "most fun per dollar in motorsports."
This car started out its life as a base MINI Cooper R56 that was then built to enjoy the thrills of driving a slow car fast in GRIDLIFE's fastest-growing Time Attack class called "Sundae Cup".
FCP Euro’s recipe for this car came in the form of a used sub $2,000 car combined with an FCP shopping cart stuffed full of both maintenance and performance partsfrom the FCP Euro catalog.
And now for the difficult part. The staff at FCP Euro, all good friends and total gearheads and always ready to turn a wrench, were given only a single night to build the car using those parts. Due to the enthusiasm and knowledge of the FCP Euro staff involved in this project here are the results of this car you see here.
About FCP Euro:
FCP Euro was established by Harry and Kathy Bauer in 1986 as a brick-and-mortarauto parts store located in Groton, Connecticut servicing the local Volvo and BMW parts markets. In 2001 the brick-and-mortar store was taken online through eBay. Over the next few years, they began to develop a website where they listed the entire catalog online of European Car Parts.
They have developed an extensive YouTube library of Do-It-Yourself instructional content that help car owners fix and maintain their vehicles, with hopes of providing them a more enjoyable car ownership experience. Now based out of Milford, CT, they have 100,000 square foot distribution center ready to ship out the same day.
