Whidbey Island artist, Dale Reiger began painting about twenty-five years ago, and ten years ago he shifted focus to include his kiln formed glass. He describes his style as both primitive, and elegant, and themes from his paintings also flow into his glass pieces. Dale uses elementary shapes that translate into symbols, which in turn create a highly personalized iconography. Most of Dale's kiln formed glass is cast, or a combination of fusing and casting. The Light Forrest is spectacular at night, each sculpture has a LED light below it that can be programed.
"The Light Forrest" sculptures are for sale individually for $2900 each.
