Mike Lustig - Yourselves

This is Mike lustig, the artist who made yourselves yourselves, is a parabolically focused mirror array comprised of 11 different tile types mounted on fasted surface dishes. If you stand within the boundary marked on the floor in front of the piece, you can position yourself within the focal point of the sculpture.

Align your eye to the same height as the center mirror tile of the array. Once within that area, you will be able to see your face reflected back to you in every mirror within the array from slightly different angles. The array also focuses and amplifies sound. Try making a sound while you are within the focal point area of the sculpture.

Yourselves was initially funded by apogea Colorado's Burning Man Regional event in 2025. It has been displayed at numerous events and is well traveled. Hence, the scratches and wear. This particular piece is made of foam, wood, and acrylic mirror. This is the last time that yourselves will be displayed publicly.
