Site of former Robertson’s Jam factory

To the left-hand side, the largely flat derelict site extends to 20 acres, and earmarked for housing.   This was the former site of the famous manufacturer, James Robertson and Sons, where jams, marmalade and preserves were made from 1890 onwards.
