Bemis family

Bemis, Baby, b. 1892, d. 1892, Bemis, Wm W., b. 1834, d. 1899, Bemis, Samuel N., b. 1882, d. 1911, B., J. W., Next to Bemis graves; headstone missing, but footstone intact

This is the Bemis family This one did have another block on it that said Bemis and a 3ft marble pillar. Before I had a decent gate or fence up there, there was a guy who used to come up here about 3 times a month and say,”Oh just looking around.” and then one night I heard his little car coming down the street and in the morning the piece was gone. There is Baby Bemis 1892. (Someone is here) 1899. Mrs. Bemis is not up here unless that's her. That is one of the ones we found with the radar. Mrs. Bemis had 11 children, four of which passed away before she did. They were a prominent family in the area. They are descendants of the Turners and the Wilds and when you are going back to Victorville and you go over the bridge that’s Turner road and that’s where Turner ranch was. Down there that was the Turners and the Wilds married into the Turner family.
