Campcraft

Campcraft is one of the original program areas of Camp Horseshoe when it opened in 1928.

The campcraft program has traditionally offered the Camping, Cooking, Wilderness Survival, Pioneering, and Orienteering merit badges.  Additionally, it offers Surveying, Signs, Signals, and Codes, Exploration, and American Indian Culture merit badges.

The program area also features the ever-popular Paul Bunyan Field Day campwide game every other week on the last full day of camp. This event is a mix of pioneering skills, firebuilding, and strength competitions.

The Campcraft area also features the Obstacle Course for those brave enough to climb, duck, crawl, and get a little dirty as this time trialed event tests a Scouts' dexterity, speed, and bravery.
