Garner Trailhead

The small farming community of Garner was established in the late 1880s, and it became a market and freight center when the Weatherford, Mineral Wells, and Northwestern Railroad was built in the 1890s. Two local boys invented the popular domino game "42" in the 1880s to avoid the cultural prohibition on playing cards. The game quickly caught on, and it’s still popular in Texas today.
