Here we have the Autumn Splendor Horsechestnut, a hybrid of the Aesculus and Arnoldiana. It is a medium-sized ornamental tree known for its striking seasonal color. Typically it grows 25 to 35 feet tall and spreads 20 to 25 feet wide, forming a rounded crown. In spring, you’ll see clusters, or panicles, of yellow flowers blooming at the tips of its branches. The tree features glossy, green foliage throughout the growing season, which turns a deep red in the fall, giving it its name.
