Stoney brook washington williams streets

Conclusion

On this walk we got to see the industrial heritage of the Stony Brook valley and how that industrial past is being transformed in the 21st century. Instead of destroying the industrial character of the neighborhood, Jamaica Plain seems to embrace it -- creating a harmonious intermingling of what was with what can be. This diversity of the past and present along with its people makes Jamaica Plain the special place that it is today and extends the legacy of the neighborhood as a modern-day “Eden of America”.
