Main Street School

The fountain in this display stood in front of Main Street School.  Main Street School was a public school which was built in 1897 and used until 1954.  The Center is now located where this school stood which was on North Main Street here in Springfield. If you visit the Center, the stairs in front of the building are original to Main Street School.  The chart on display inside the exhibit has additional information on Main Street School.
