Woolsey

Conclusion

Hopefully, this short linear walk along Green Street has given you some feeling for the changes that have happened over time in Jamaica Plain. From that early summer residence of Dr. Warren to the Greek Revival homes of business owner/commuters and the commercial businesses like Louis Mahn’s baseball factory or the highly-skilled development of Buff & Buff’s surveying instruments. Finally, here we are in Woolsey Square which now shows no sign of the all the buildings that were here before! It’s an eclectic street in our eclectic neighborhood and we hope you enjoyed the tour.

If you enjoyed this tour we hope you will consider giving a small donation to the Jamaica Plain Historical Society to help us cover the costs for paying for this audio tour app.  Just click the Donate link at the top of our website.  We thank you for your support and hope you will take another one of our tours soon!  Also, we offer walking tours in person every Saturday from mid-May to early October too - just click on the Events link on the website for details.
