The Ackman and Ziff Family Genealogy Institute located on the third floor has many valuable tools for the new genealogist, including tips on how to plan your family history project, interview relatives, and use online resources to conduct and organize your research.
You can also visit the Lillian Goldman Reading Room, which is often described as the heart of the Center. The Reading Room is the gateway for exploring the diverse history of the Jewish people through the collections housed at the Center for Jewish History.
Archive and library collections consist of 500,000 volumes in multiple languages and from many time periods, as well as over 100 million documents, including organizational records and personal papers, photographs, multimedia recordings, posters, art, and artifacts.
