Hall and Back Lobby

In the hall outside the Birthplace Room hangs a photo of the original frame railroad hotel that stood on this site.

Across the hall is a model of a Nashville, Chattanooga, & Saint Louis locomotive and tender. Above it is a photo of one of the special trains that the NC & Saint L used to bring employees to Dickson County for a country picnic and excursion on July 4th, 1923.

In the back lobby there are other photos, as well as the door from a blast furnace- possibly Worley Furnace -- a typical baggage cart and a steamer trunk. Restrooms, a drinking fountain, and an elevator to the second floor are also located here.

Now let's go upstairs
