Hidden Trails & Terminus

As you move forward along this last leg of the Rail Trail, if you look to your right, you are bound to see a clearing or two in the trees. With a closer inspection, a hidden path will likely reveal itself. Most of those found in this leg of the trail will lead through the small wooded area tucked between several commercial spaces and the Vestal Parkway. If you wish to exit early, take advantage of nearby business offerings, or just want to get lost in the trees, this is your opportunity to do so. There are many such paths hidden throughout the length of the Rail Trail, waiting to be discovered. While on your way back from the tour or on a return visit, challenge yourself to find as many hidden paths as you can.

---

Hint: A large path can be found behind one of the monuments we spotlighted earlier.

This brings us to the end of our Rail Trail tour, or in the parlance of this place’s former railway workers, its “terminus.” As you near the end of the path ahead, there will be several facilities available for use. If you need to relieve yourself, park bathrooms can be located at the very end of the pathway. Alternatively, if your walk has taxed you, a gazebo can be found to your right in the parking lot to rest in. Returning to the realm of our everyday world, many retail opportunities await you beyond the trail, most notably the Town Square Mall. We hope you enjoyed our tour. Please remember to return and visit our museum, attend an event or explore further, here on the Vestal Rail Trail.
