Happy 100th Birthday!
The school was designed by nationally recognized architect William B. Ittner, who specialized in school buildings. Some notable features to this Mediterranean Revival building include the two interior courtyards, the exterior arcade along the first floor of the main facade, the red clay barrel tile roof, the corner stair towers and the interior of the auditorium.
In 2021, Pinellas County Schools completed a 40-million-dollar renovation of this historic property including restoration of the auditorium and administration offices, refurbishing original features like chandeliers, skylights, and repairing the front entryway terracotta.
