Hands on!

In museums we have to be careful about what we touch because if we damage something there usually is no way to replace it.

But these tools are all things people used to touch in order to make them work. Do you see any handles or other things made to be used with a person’s hands?

As you look around, what is something you would like to touch? What do you think it would feel like? Would it be heavy or light? Cool or warm?

There’s at least one item displayed here that has the marks of someone’s hands using it over and over again Here’s a hint: Look for something pink.

Looking at old machines and tools make us wonder how they all worked. They also make us thankful for the comforts we have today!
