I had a great time painting Will. I’ve known Will since the Cherry Street Pier opened almost one year ago and he has been a huge supporter of my portrait project. At the begining of the project, Will, who is an excellent illustrator in his own right, designed a poster for me, just for fun, highlighting this project in my studio. Well for this session, Will, knowing that I am a New York Mets fan, brought me a Mets jersey with the number 15 — the number of my studio at the Pier, as a gift. I’m pretty sure that Will liked the idea of a pattern for the background of his portrait and I think he looks absolutely fabulous in it.
