Not only did Seper give me a great portrait session, he fed me several new leads for portraits. One of them was Dan. Dan is a great conversationalist and is very animated. I enjoyed trying to follow all the positions of his face while I painted him. At some point, I’m sure I asked him to keep a still position just so I could paint his mouth, but I learned through this project that a model doesn’t have to be perfectly still for me to paint them. I also happen to love the pink background on this portrait.
