Christine, and her husband, Kurt, visited my studio one day and the first thing I noticed about both of them was their terrific eyeglasses. They both looked so artsy that I invited them to get their portrait painted. When they showed up for their portrait, I learned that Christine is actually the older sister of Sean, my fifth portrait sitter in this series. I thought that was very cool. Christine and Sean were the first of two sets of siblings that I painted this year.
