Conclusion

We end here on Revere Street. On this walk we got to see examples of many of the architectural styles of America. Starting at the Loring-Greenough House with Georgian, then moving through Greek Revival to the varying styles of the Victorian era. The houses of Sumner Hill tell the story of Jamaica Plain. And this architectural diversity is mirrored by the wide variety of people living in the area. Jamaica Plain remains an intermingling of peoples from across many spectrums. This diversity of people makes Jamaica Plain the special place that it is today and extends the legacy of the neighborhood as a modern-day “Eden of America”.
