The Fire Mark

The plaque with the clasped hands is the seal of the Philadelphia Contributorship insurance company, founded by Benjamin Franklin in 1752. The Strawbridge family, who owned the property from 1920 until they donated it to the state in 1958, insured Graeme Park with the Contributorship in the 20th century, and the plaque is from that time.
