George Green's Drilling Inventions

In 1868, George F. Green of Kalamazoo, invented the first pedal operated, pneumatic dental drill which used bellows to push air through hoses resulting in a rotary cutting action. Morrison's 1871 mechanical pedal drill had much better results, but Green still came out on top when he invented the first ever electric dental drill in 1875.
